#no paid item of R2420 for R200 transaction.
I had n terrible experiance with FNB. i believed that FNB is one of the best bank and they will do anything for their customers. "how can we help you" they say. But it came to my attention that FNB will only help to take your money and they think they are untouchable.
It all started 2 months ago. they deducted #No Item Paid fees of R120 per transaction. it came to a point where the total fund FNB took was R750 for less then R200 that went of my account. i contacted them and they explained to me that i must keep fund in my account as tollgate transaction can go of 2 to 3 weeks after the card was swiped. in August i did exactly what was advised to me but then FNB went and deducted R450 of service fees (I am a premier cheque account holder and account fee is suppose to be R209 pm) . because of the high fee it caused my account to go into negative and the reserved fees was not availeble for my tollgate transaction. with this FNB DEDUCTED A TOTAL OF R2420 just on no paid item excluding the service fee. the total amount of tollgate money was just over R200. So i lost R3000 in total for R200 transaction. This would never have happened if FNB didn't deduct the high service fee.
I went to the branch on the 24 August to resolve the matter. they picked up that who ever is responsible never switched my account to the correct setting and instead left it on pay as you use. Even the consultant said to me that this is not right and we came to a conclusion that R2420 must be reversed. I still loose R800 but i was happy that i could at least get something back as my new debit order is about to go off soon. i waited and waited and no one came back to me. 2 weeks of follow up calls from the one department and manager to another they only reversed R206.09 as service fees adjustment.
if my account was set up correct to start with this would have never happens. So because of FNB mistake i am being punished. where can you pay R3000 in total for a transaction of R200. this is against so many laws and regulations. Now they refuse to pay back my money.
