No interest on temp loan, but watch out for FNB's steep initiation fees

We recently came to the end of the month and some of our money coming in was late and on FNB's app they offered us an "interest free" loan to see us over. Thinking this was a nice gesture within a minute the loan went through and was approved.

We took the loan and only afterwards realised how much it would cost us. R1035 for a loan we paid back in 4 days. That is a 20% profit on what they loaned within 4 days, very lucrative for them.

While FNB covered themselves legally, they are immoral ******* who prey on their customers vulnerabilities. The transaction was so easy it was done in a few clicks.

I am deeply disgusted with them. Don't ever think the bank has your back, they will milk you every way they can.
