No help from FNB Home Loans when you get Retrenched or become Unemployed

People of South Africa if you are looking for a Bank to finance your Home Loan, please please please stay away from FNB. I have been a good, loyal customer to FNB for 8 years. Never ever missed a payment on my Home Loan. After I was Retrenched things became a bit tough for me. FNB gave me a lower payment for a few months and then withdrew it. I managed to somehow pay the full Bond amount for the following months, but now I cant anymore. All I was asking for was a reduced payment. FNB refused. Instead they offered me a Loan term extension. Which would extend my Loan period. Taking my balance from R540 000 to R2 200 000 Million! Instead of helping me with a lower payment FNB want to increase my Loan term and make me pay them back R2.2 Million instead of R540 000. FNB want to take my position from bad to worse and make more money out of me! Can you believe this? I am utterly dissapointed and sad that this is the way that FNB does business. Please South Africa take your Home finance somewhere else, FNB will abandon you when times get tough. Very dissapointed customer...
