No consent

This has been the most unsettling experience.

Applying for housing finance is usually a headache but this was a migraine.

As the process normally goes, apply through various financial providers and choose the 1 that best suites the pocket.

My bond originator app**** at various financial providers including FNB, we received a quote within 3days approving the bond.

All the other financial providers declined our application.

I queried this and the response was the same, it was based on unaffordability, I was shocked by this as it did not make any sense.

I further queried this and they informed me that based on my credit check I already have a bond on my name and am not able to apply for another.

1st of all this is the 1st time I have ever app**** for housing finance, 2nd of all I did not approve or sign off on the offer from FNB but they gladly placed that bond on my name without my consent.

So in other words my TransUnion report/ Experian and Koudhou reports all reflects a bond that I haven’t accepted.

I feel as though they purposely do this so that you may not receive any other offers but theirs.

this has not been sorted as FNB has politely been telling me that this is their process and they dont do pre approvals. I need to do all the running around to have it sorted.
