No Assistance in Foreign Country

<p>I have lost my debit and credit card while I am in Tanzania. As soon as lost my cards, I canceled it on my online banking. Then I asked a friend in South Africa to go to FNB and ask them what I should do to get my cards back. I even spoke to the banker in the FNB branch and he told me that I should send a mail to ********** and they would be able to send my cards to the FNB branch in Tanzania. I’ve send them a mail and they haven’t responded to me for 7 days. Then I gave them a call, which took about 25 minutes and cost me about R 600, only for them to tell me that they can’t assist me over the phone and that I can only resolve this if I have the FNB app, which I don’t have. The person I spoke to is Neo Maleke. So my only option now is to fly back to South Africa, cancel all of my accounts at FNB and move to another bank. This is really bad from FNB, as I had to borrow money in Tanzania, because my bank can’t assist me and I have to R 7000 for flight tickets to get access to my money again. </p> <p> </p>
