No assistance after death
I find myself utterly shocked at the kind of service that FNB provides to their deceased clients families My father passed away on 5th June 2021 I contacted his private banker to let her know that he had passed, I asked her what the following steps would be and was told that she did not know but would get back to me I followed up numerous times with no avail My father’s estate was handed over to Veritas Eksukuters to manage We have been in constant contact with them wanting feedback. After numerous emails and phone calls we were told that the hold up was laying with FNB Veritas has sent countless emails to FNB asking for documents they need in order to finalize my father’s estate Every time they email FNB they get an automated message back saying that they would respond with in 72 hours This has been going on for months According to Veritas the emails have been escalated but the outcome remains the same
This needs to be sorted out as it has now become a safety issue. My mother who has been traumatized by the loss of her husband fell victim to a armed ******* at her home in Springs She can unfortunately do nothing until the estate has been handled so she now lives in fear Is this common practice from FNB If so then I feel their clients should know that in their darkest hours FNB will NOT be there to assist
