No Assistance

1. A ***** case was reported in April 2, where R3000 was withdrawn and within 15 minutes purchases of alcohol worth about R15000 were made. An email came back from the ***** division absolving FNB from any responsibly. Now on cheque accounts funds are not cleared immediately, however FNB, went ahead and cleared the funds after the case was reported. The merchant was not held accountable in anyway, where FNB has a clear policy on its merchant services. That was R18000 down the drain without any assistance from FNB.
2. My mother also an FNB customer passed away in January. In March when we tried to get funds transferred from her account to my fathers with appropriate letter of authority we were told verification was needed. It took 3 additional trips to be told to go back to court to get email addresses. After confirmation was made from high court, my dad was told 21 days for funds to be transferred. This didn't happen.
Yesterday 18 June 2016, after no feedback, my dad went to check what is happening. He was told he now must go back and get a clearer letter. This is odd since the court has confirmed already.

The customer service is appalling and maybe it's time to change banks.
