No appropriate channel of communication with FNB, given current situation
I had an account with FNB for years. After Covid-19, I became unemployed for a period of 8 months. During that time, I failed to meet loan repayments, including the overdraft facility. Every section that I had dealings with now contacts me separately. Some have engaged collection organizations that I have to talk through WhatsApp. There is no person with some level of authority that will understand my situation and advise. It is crazy! There is no means to talk to someone at the bank who will consider the total debt and come up with a repayment plan. Instead, I have to deal with 5 different people/organizations that have no reference to other loan agreements, and all they want from me is a payment plan for the one agreement. If I am to budget to pay back the bank and the creditor, I will have one repayment plan, not 5 as expected. I have one private account profile and a personal banker who points me in 5 different directions that force me to make 5 different agreements for repayments. We have reached a situation where there is no professional relationship.
So, I need to be talking to the Creditor called FNB and make appropriate arrangements to clear the debt. I cannot be dealing with 5 different debt collecting agencies now that have absolutely no point of reference. I need to be talking to ONE person at FNB who will consider my current situation so that we can mutually come up with a plan to address total debit. Currently, such a person or role does not exist at FNB! If I am wrong Please advise.
