New FNBy account

My 17 year old son will help out at a company by doing holiday work this November and December and therefor need a bank account to be opened. I started to do my homework at each bank to see which bank will be the best to open an account which will suit his age. I than decided to open an account at FNB seeing that I am already a client to make life easier. On 6 November I phoned the customer services to find out if I should make an appointment with the nearest branch to open the account whereby the lady said that she can help me over the phone to open the account, I was surprised and thought wow!, what great service. At the end of the phone call I asked the lady how things will work with the bankcard and she said that the card will be couriered to our home address within 3 - 7 days, I asked if there is any other documents needed from me but she said that further documents will only be needed once we receive the card. I asked if I will receive an email or something which will confirm what documents will be required. I was told that I will receive a sms. I received a sms on 9 November which congratulated my son on his new FNBy account but no indication of which documents still required, I thought to myself, let me still wait as the lady said it will take 3 - 7 days for the card to be delivered. On 13 November I started to worry as my son will soon start to work but no further correspondence from FNB and no card. I phoned the customer service again, I was transferred to Nelly Nkoane and was told that there was still documents outstanding for the card to be unlocked or something like that. I told her that I need this account to be opened asap as my son start to work on 23 November and to please rather send the card to the nearest branch, Cape Gate, she than emailed me the document I needed to complete with email reference ***7, which I immediately emailed back to her asking that she must please confirm if the paperwork is completed correct but by Monday still no reply. I than once again phoned customer services the Monday 16 November. I got through to a lady who told me I have to wait for the card to be sent via courier whereby I said that I asked Nelly to please change to the nearest branch, something was weird and I did not believe what this lady told me, I asked her for a reference for the call and was told the reference is that day's date, 16.11.20. I was shocked!!! I than decided to phone again, I was transferred to Molaoa Paballo who said that the documents still show outstanding, she asked that I resend the email with documents attached to *** and cc her in on the email to *** for her to follow up, I resent the email with documents to both email addresses with no reply. I sent another email yesterday 17 November to ask that someone please get back to me but no luck. I tried to phone again today but am tired of having to explain the same situation to every person I get transferred to. I am very disappointed in the service and should have gone to ABSA.

Received an email and sms (18.11.2020) with a high priority complaint reference number and that a consultant will contact me shortly within 24 - 48 hours, more than 48 hours later and no contact from FNB
