New account opening issues
I am a co founder of a Refugee NGO and I started the process on the 29th Dec 2015 to open an account. One of the trustees is not a SA'n citizen and we were therefor instructed by FNB branch Kenilworth Centre to open the account telephonically in order for them to assist us due to the fact that one trustee is not a resident in the country. I was told it would take 24 hrs for the account to be opened and activated. Today is the 28 Jan 2016 1 day short of month ago when I app**** for this account. The consultant who assisted me when opening the account firstly could not get the spelling correct and after the 4th attempt of me spelling the name I thought he got it right. Only to discover the following day when I received the account name \ Refuggee"and not Refugee. Secondly I was told to email all supporting documents which would include the Trust deed and ID copies Passport copies of all trustees as well as proof of address. Days went by when I had not heard anything further from FNB when I called I was told I had failed to complete mandate form. My question to the consultant at this point was how was I to complete a form I was not given by FNB and no one told me. today still no acc"""
