Never-ending personal loan

I took a personal loan in 2012 , my first installment was in june 2012 . Now its 2025 and im still paying the loan (stop order) and my balance is still R20.000+ . And when queried the consultant that called told me that the interest on my loan accumulates daily ,ofwhich i did not understand . And i told her that means i will pay the loan forever .
