NEGLEGENT LENDING

Good day,

I would like to lodge a complaint against First National Bank for negligent lending. My husband is currently unemployed and has been unemployed without a salary for the past 2 years.

However, FNB has offered and granted him a R263,000 personal loan which we are now unable to meet the monthly repayments.

I would like to lodge an official complaint to have this investigated and I would like to know on what basis of affordability did FNB grant him this loan.

This is blatant negligent lending by First National Bank and the bank has failed to carry out their proper due diligence in determining full time employment and can the repayment be affordable.
