Neglecting ***** department
On 05/10/2018 my purse was ****** which had all my cards in. At first I had not notice until I got to the car with my granddaughter. Long story short we got to the bank which was luckily close by when a very friendly lady helped me block my cards. Unfortunately we had already been to late as we had been informed that money had been drawn at an ABSA atm from one of our accounts. In the bank we got more dissapointing news of money been drawn from another private savings account as well. All together they withdrew R3000 from two accounts, a very big hit on a pensioner. We reported it at the ***** department and they assured us it would take them a week to investigate the matter. It has since been 5 months and we have not heard anything. We went to the bank to inquire where they phoned the ***** department. We sat there for about 5 minutes with the phone just playing the adverti*****t tone. He called another number and we finally got through. The lady looked into our case and found that the guy who was responsable for the case had dissappeared and his supervisor failed to answer her phone. She gave me the supervisors number incase I wanted to phone and inquire. The guy at the bank also sent her an email explaining the case and also requisting information. He told us when she replies he would call us but we have not heard back from him. The number of the supervisor also continues to go unanswered and the ***** line is useless. We are getting fed up with nothing happening about this case and we would like some answeres. R3000 might not seem that much but we have had a tough time since the incedent.
