***** National Bank
On 1 August 2023 my mother noted *****ulent transactions totaling R 6 510. 00 (Six Thousand Five Hundred and Ten Rand) that was ********ly misappropriated from her account.
She immediately disputed the *****ulent transactions with FNB and requested that her card be blocked to prevent further *****ulent activity.
On 21 August 2023 she contacted FNB in order to obtain an update on the ***** investigation and enquire when the amount of R 6 510. 00 (Six Thousand Five Hundred and Ten Rand) that was ********ly misappropriated from her would be reimbursed.
She was informed by a consultant whose full and further particulars are to her unknown, that oushe not be reimbursed the funds ********ly misappropriated from her because she “allegedly transferred the funds via e-wallet”.
From a simple investigation, the bank would note that her card details were cloned, that her funds were ********ly and intentionally misappropriated and utilised at 2 (two) juristic entities situated in Pretoria, whilst she resides elsewhere, by individuals unbeknown to her, without her knowledge and consent.
Her records will further show that no e-wallet transactions of such a nature ever took place and the bank is put to the specific proof hereof. It is nonsensical that she would e-wallet unknown individuals and in turn log a ***** dispute. She does not in fact even know how to use the e-wallet function. She has been a loyal customer of FNB for many years and the bank records will reflect as such
Simply put, she is a victim of *****, and the bank appears to be supporting *****ulent activity leaving our client ********ly impoverished.
