Mzansi Debit Order, unable to reverse unauthorized debit orders.

Honestly speaking, I'm gatvol.

Last year on the 31st if July 2018 , I sent an email to the following addresses: ********** ********** ********** ********** ********** ********** Context of the email:

"Good Day,

I received a debit order from "Mzansi" using my identification number as a reference. I did not sign up for anything. I managed to reverse the transaction, however I am not pleased at how careless FNB is.

This is not the first time ********** debit orders have been deducted from my account. Last year I lodged a complaint, had to fill in forms as the recurring amount of R99 had been deducted for more than a month. I received my money back, but of course I incurred banking fees.

It had been silent until now.

And to make it worse, the FNB ******** have tried to make it look more "legit" and cover their tracks. 1. First an sms was sent last week thanking me for a subscription I did not subscribe to and informing that an amount of R109 will be deducted from my account on the 30/31 July. 2. Today I wake up R109 less. 3. To top it of, my identification number appears as a reference?

After discussing this with colleagues, I find out the exact same **** happened to them as well.

FNB, what's going on here? Can someone explain to me why we are being taken on a ride for our own money? You are literally *****ing from clients' hard earned money. You do know that right? This is theft. And yes even if we can reverse the transaction, the fee we pay makes you benefit. Period.

FNB, how do you go about approving a transaction without checking with the clients first? ESPECIALLY WHEN YOU KNOW THAT PRIOR TO THIS EMAIL, THERE HAVE BEEN NUMEROUS COMPLAINTS ABOUT ********** DEBIT ORDERS FROM OTHER CUSTOMERS?

Or is because you benefit from this, you just look away? Every men for themselves attitude? That is theft and cannot be accepted. We provide you with our personal details, we are literally vulnerable. and instead of the bank taking care of its clients, our details are used to make your ******** acts look more legit? MY IDENTIFICATION NUMBER? AS A REFERENCE? REALLY NOW!!! You cannot even begin to deny this. ITS AN INSIDE JOB. IM NOT THE ONLY VICTIM!!!!!!!!!!

Let's not complicate things. If you cannot take care of your customers, by all means say so. Let them go.

JUST STOP *****ING FROM OUR ACCOUNTS!!!!

People cannot keep paying fees for your excuses. "

Results: Automated responses; reference numbers... not even a phone call to apologize or effort to try fix it.

Disappointing. But then again, because of previous experiences with the bank, my expectations were quite low anyway. Today, here I am facing the same problem again, from the same Mzansi company. The only difference is that this time I am unable to reverse this unauthorized debit order....

Sigh.

We trust the bank with our personal information. Instead of protecting your clients, you facilitate ***** in your branches.

I'm gatvol, but too tired to argue anymore.
