My humblest Apologies...

To the FNB online banking assistant subjected to my wrath this evening, please accept my apologies.

It is not your fault FNB is unable to retract a payment to an incorrect recipient on my part. It was my lapse in concentration that lead to the error. If it helps, I was angry at myself too because I knew I had just made a simple mistake that bore consequences.

But I also thought as I noticed my own mistake within seconds that there would be far more assistance from FNBs side on my behalf. The funds after all still had yet to take their 3 days to reflect in the incorrect beneficiaries account. But rather than a speedy halt to the payment, I was instead informed that simply getting the forms to complete to reverse the payment could take five working days and that I would also be subjected to a bill of R200 for your efforts. It felt awfully similar to the abuse of the parking area at malls when you lose your ticket and freeing your car suddenly costs 5 days worth of parking despite receipts showing otherwise.

I only wish I had your name to call back and apologise as my outburst to you personally was unacceptable. That frustration was aimed squarely at Thanks-for-nothing FNB system
