My FNB Business Account frozen after settling payment 72hours later
I’m writing to express my frustration after FNB has put a hold on my business account for the past 3 months I was unable to pay for the business loan I had with First National Bank and the Account was handed over to Brooks&Luytt Associate and the agent who was responsible for my case ********** was Nicola, had a payment arrangement made in March to start paying the debt from 31st May 2019 and committed a payment of R10 000 towards finishing off the R251 000 loan we took God being gracious we had an opportunity to render services for Eskom in Feb-March and we subsequently submitted an invoice which was paid on the 23 May 2019 for R2million, when we tried to access the account it had a hold and couldn’t access the funds called in their business and recovery department to remove the hold through Brooks&Luytt they told us they have requested the Bank to remove the hold and were subsequently transferred to speak to head of Department at FNB Legal Mr Jacques Louw who told me I must send proof of where the funds in my account came from and send him documentation to confirm the payment and I did he told me it would take 48/72 hours just my account to have the hold removed I could still login but couldn’t make payments and I noticed that the total amount we were owing to FNB was in Friday Afternoon reflecting as our Available Funds was showing less R251 000 and we accepted that the could recover all their money at once not a problem but my account is still not accessible today is the 28th May 2019 FNB claims to have a 24hours support desk which is not assisting since my matter is with legal so below is my email again to Mr Louw and I need urgent help because my own support staff is on strike on site because they know Eskom Paid us but they still haven’t received their salaries neither has any of the sub contracting companies received payment for their invoices for services they render to Baroka kindly assist me I’ve had enough troubles for one year
Good morning Mr Louw,
On Friday Morning the 24th May 2019 I had called in for a removal of a hold on my account at the time you requested a proof of funds/remittances to be sent immediately to you and the matter will be handled and investigated within 48/72hours to date my employees are on strike because they haven’t received their salaries and all operations are on hold. I had expected a continuous update from your side as the bank the least that could be done it is however very disappointing to notice that there has never been feedback since the time of engagement with yourself and Ms Fayê. All work time and income lost for the duration has cost us dearly with this reputation damage and loss of income in the process we therefore find it very difficult to continue doing business with your institution we therefore request an expedited service and response as all arrears incurred by Baroka Business Enterprises which was due to First National Bank in one Of the products overdue has since been resolved as the total balance outstanding has been deducted from funds available therefore we don’t understand what has resulted in further delays as the arrears were deducted immediately since Friday 24 May 2019 but we are still unable to access our funds to date. We trust you will find the above in order and our funds released into the account unless there’s a secondary matter that we do not know off that’s resulted in the inconvenience caused so far.
Kind Regards,
