My FNB Bank Account suspended due to KYC drive

I've just had the most terrible service with FNB. On Wednesday evening this week, I was unable to purchase electricity via an EFT. Yesterday, I went to collect my car from the services center and was unable to pay due to my credit card had been declined, after making some arrangements with family, I was able to take my vehicle, but then I was unable to fill up with fuel, also due to my credit card been declined. It turns out, with NO prior warning or correspondence, that FNB has suspended all my accounts because my FICA documentation was out of date. The customer support was unable to resolve this and said I need to speak to the KYC department. After 30min plus on the phone waiting, with no answer, and then also no reply to-date to my email to the KYC department, I am still currently unable to use my accounts or credit card.

I am currently on the Premier account and was under the impression that it was suppose to provide me with much better customer experience and support, but how far from the truth when you actually have to use it. Customer support said they had sent 3 messages via sms's ONLY this month, which I have checked and have definitely not received, and then they cut me off from my accounts and then they cant help reenable it when I urgently need it. SHOCKING!!

This whole experience has made me so angry with FNB as the custodians of my money. I am a LOW risk, long time customer. How, after apparently sending correspondence only via SMS and only this month of September (no emails, telephone calls or FNB messenger app), which I have checked and have not received, can the bank then cut me off and suspend all my my accounts. Its absolutely shocking. service.

First thing I was doing today was looking at other banks, as I never want to be caught out in a position like this again. I cant imagine now if I was caught in this position while traveling abroad.

I am going into my local branch this afternoon.

Because I was unable to resolve this telephonically or digitally due to no reply, contact or follow-up from FNB, I ended up having to go into the bank on Friday afternoon. I parked my vehicle directly outside the front doors of FNB, Newton Park, Gqeberha (Port Elizabeth). While in the bank, my car was broken into and my bag, laptop and other contents was ****** out from my boot. I then requested CCTV footage from FNB, only to be told they don't have CCTV covering the entrance doors or the outside of the building. This is ridiculous considering this is a bank that is the custodians of our money and safety of the clients, staff and cash-in-transit vehicles.

Please explain!?!

I am so frustrated and unhappy with FNB right now.
