My account is on hold indefinitely
FNB its cruelest bank you can ever bank with. I suspect their ***** department are working with this ********s which are busy calling them to close our accounts. Stay away from this bank for your own sanity. You will unfairly treated.
I wish to formally record my deep concern regarding the manner in which FNB has handled my account and the associated investigations. My experience has raised serious questions about the bank’s internal processes, its treatment of long‑standing clients, and the fairness of its *****‑handling procedures.
Despite being a loyal FNB client for more than two decades, my entire banking profile was restricted without prior engagement or an opportunity to provide my version of events. This action has had severe consequences, particularly because I have multiple active credit facilities with FNB — including my home loan, vehicle finance, credit card, and overdraft — all of which require uninterrupted access to my profile in order for me to meet my obligations.
The conduct of the ***** department has been especially troubling. Although I was asked to submit documents for investigation, there is no indication that these documents were meaningfully considered. Instead, conclusions appear to have been reached without affording me a fair hearing or the opportunity to respond to allegations.
I must specifically note my interaction with Ms. Kagiso Mothei, who identified herself as an investigator/analyst. She requested documentation from me but proceeded to finalise a one‑sided assessment without engaging me further or allowing me to clarify critical facts. I was also informed that if additional reports were made against my account — regardless of their validity — my profile would be closed. This raises a fundamental concern: clients cannot control the actions of ********s, and it is unreasonable to penalise victims for *****ulent reports made by third parties.
The cumulative effect of these actions has been distressing and disruptive. The approach taken by FNB has left me feeling unprotected, unheard, and unfairly treated. No client should be placed in a position where their financial stability is jeopardised without due process, especially when they have comp**** fully and acted in good faith.
I am therefore requesting a thorough, impartial review of my matter, proper consideration of the documents I have submitted, and restoration of my banking profile so that I can meet my lawful financial obligations.
