More than 3 weeks to open an account

On 28 April I have used the website to create a personal account at FNB. All information instruction was followed including deposited amount and upload of documentation. I have subsequently visited a FNB branch were it was pointed out that all submitted documentation was under review. The documentation was again faxed in the branch to new accounts whereby it was indicated that FNB will be in contact.

Now almost 4 months and I'm still waiting for a reply, no indication what the problem is.

In short, if you think of moving your personal and\or business accounts to FNB, think again. If this is the type of service met at the beginning, I shudder to think how you are going to handle more complex business requirements.

And the bad service keeps on and on from FNB.

See high Priority reference number: ********** [REF: ********** 5_ ********** 02] on your record. This account is still not activated and I'm receiving no reply from your call center.

FNB is not capable in servicing new clients and lack the ability to resolve simple problems:

As responded by FNB Team

"We do not have a declaration that allows for the business to confirm individual address."

OK so what now if the business address is the individual address?

Resolve this or refund the current balance in the account to my existing account
