Money transferred into an inactive account

Good Day,

This is not a complaint, I just need clarity, I have asked SARS to transfer money into my account which has been declared inactive by Fnb, the transfer was confirmed in the early hours of the morning today but the money still is not reflected on the inactive account. So my question is, does an inactive account receive money?, and if so how do I access the account, do I need to go to the branch? I called Fnb today and I spoke to the lady by the name of Tshimangaso, but she didn't help.
