Money sent to FNB but they can't yrace it

I have made a transfer of R10 000 into nonexistent account om FNB but the money is not bouncing back into my account. They told me that they could not trace the money.i wanted to send mybwife the money for rent and groceries but ended up using the old account which was for personal loan that was closed. I logged a query with std bank but all they did was to close the ticket and say that they can confirm that the money was indeed sent to FNB account. Please help me because I need that money to pay school fees
