Money missing from FNB Account

There is a new **** at FNB where they take R249 from your account and no one can explain what happened with that money. The mere fact that a bank can just take moiney out of a client's account is scary. How many others have they done that to.

On Saturday, I noticed that R249 was taken out of my account and I struggled to understand what was happening because I knew exactly what was in my account. I immediately contacted FNB via the secure chat where I was directed to more than 7 people who either dropped on me or blamed me for the money going missing. I do not use a bank card and I had my phone in my phone with me when the money suddenly disappeared. The referrence for the transaction was "AUTO TOP UP". I checked my FNB sim in case the money was auto used to buy data or airtime but there was none. My money is gone just like that without a trace.

If a bank can just withdraw money without the account holder's approval, what else can they do?
