Missing funds
My director has a current account with FNB. We wanted to deposit funds into his account from his bussiness account at Standard Bank to his FNB account in order for him to be able to draw money with his card. I was given the message that the FNB card was a credit card an as such, used the global FNB Retail First Card CDI account number to deposit the money into, with his personal account number as reference. Unfortunately the funds never reached his FNB personal account. More than one FNB consultant have confirmed that the money does appear in their Retail Firstcard suspense account, but nothing is being done to transfer the funds into the relevant account of my Director. Our very first enquiry was made on 12 September, which is 3 months ago. NONE of our written or telephonic communications were responded to. Each time we have to explain the whole situation to a new person on the other side of the line and each time they refer us to a different department. Our emails are not answered. Even an official complaint logged on their website lead to nothing. How can FNB not value their customer's money, which is their main core of business?
