Misled by the FNB rep of bank type and charges.

So, a FNB rep came to my company to open FNB accounts with the employees because the company that I work for uses FNB. This would make payment of salaries fast then using other banks. So, I didn't think much of it at the time. So, I went to open up an account with FNB as well.

I told that guy that helped me open the account that I would like to open a savings account, and that guy advised that its okay, he will open a savings account, then he told me that the income bracket that I am on qualifies me to open a Current Account with FNB and I told him that I don't want a Current Account, I directly told him that I wanted a savings account.

So, he processed the forms of the account and he said that it was a savings account, mind you that I opened this account during my lunch break, so I was in a rush to get back inside and carry on with my work, so the guy made me sign on the iPad that he was using to open the account. So long story short I used the account knowing that my bank charges will be as they guy mentioned to me. After a month of using my account, then there was money that was disappearing, because it was disappearing on a large bank balance I didn't notice.

Then as the account is being used time and time again the charges kept on increasing. So, I called the helpline, and I was told that I am on a 'Current Account.' I was really amazed because all this time I was thinking that I am on a 'Savings Account.' I feel that I have been violated. And I don't know what type of organization you are running where your employees can lie to customers straight in the face. I am very disappointed with that. After I called the helpline to complain about this, then the lady that I spoke to me decided on downgrading the account to a pay as you use account. And that to has it's on deductions as well. I never gave the authorization for my account to be downgraded.

Because this is a mislead on FNB's side, I have asked for a refund, but then I am still waiting for the manager to get back to me, and the manager has not said anything to me, I was told that I was going to be called or an email was going to be sent to me and there has been nothing.

I would like to know when are you guys planning on getting back to the complains of the clients under you?
