Misled by FNB. I want the eBucks I was promised.
I was approved for a bond by FNB in December 2024. I was then requested telephonically to go sign the relevant documents. While there the branch manager advised me that if I switch my salary to FNB I will receive a discount on registration fees as well as R6000 in eBucks. I immediately opened an account with FNB & switched my salary over to FNB for those reason. To date I have no received the eBucks. Instead I have been sent from pillar to post. Which led me to lodge a formal complaint, even then I have not been assisted. Instead I’ve been asked to provide evidence or written communication of the branch manager’s advice despite making it clear that the conversation was face to face. This matter has been outstanding for far too long. It is an ********* practice for a client to be falsely promised an incentive in order to entice them to do business with FNB. Furthermore I consider it to be disingenuous for the person handling my complaint to insinuate that because I have received a discount on the bond registration fees I should not be complaining about being mislead by an FNB representative. I take exception to the seemingly nonchalant attitude and condescending tone with which my complaint has been handled by FNB. I want the eBucks as promised.
