MISLEADING SALES TACTICS

In Dec '14 a FNB agent called to advise that because I purchase airtime through internet banking &I'm a loyal customer, they're giving me 2smartphones for free. In Jan '15 I was debited R98 &receive invoices from Vodacom. I called vodacom& they said that there is a 2year contract over these phones - a contract I never entered into! I escalated the matter to FNB -Lerato said that she listened to the conversation between the agent &I & advised that the agent did inform me of the contract & conditions. I disagreed &asked for cancellation. She said to cancel I will pay penalties. I then asked for the Manager but was put through to the team leader Nombuyo. I asked to listen to the recording &she advised that i have to go to any branch &ask the branch manager to call them &they will forward the recording to them so that I can listen to it. I did this but the branch manager who tried to get the recording couldn't because I actually need to get a case no. &subpoena them for the recording
