Misinformation about an approved loam

I received an email yesterday to tell me I was pre-selected for a loan with FNB, So I called the loan department today to query this and after 15 minutes on the phone with the lady I was told I qualify for a R15 000 loan. I said I would like to only takeout R5000 with them at this time. After a hour on the phone with this lady and getting all the details on what my repayments would be, the interest and all the ins and out I was made to believe that my R5000 loan was approved. Before ending the call I asked the lady when could I expect the money to reflect on my account and she proceeded to tell me that because I was a FNB client it should take about 5 hours! So to my understanding that means the loan was approved I know how much I will have to pay every month and all was good. 6 - 7 hours later I call in to see if the money will still be in today because I had now made pre-arrangements for other payments ect tomorrow and I get told the loan was declined! I am very upset and taken back at how badly this was handled and after talking to 3 other people I get told that sorry it had to be verified first but from what I was told earlier that did not seem to have been the situation!
