Messing up bond application & SHOCKING service
I have had all of my bank accounts with FNB since I was a child, and so they were my first choice when applying for a home loan. My bond application for the full amount of R435000 was approved at an interest rate of 10.41% on the 26th of August 2015. Maud Maphage was the consultant who then contacted me to get documents such as my ID and a copy of my letter of appointment, which I sent through in acceptance of my bond. She assured me she would contact me the following morning to give me feedback once it had gone to Credit. I never heard from her, despite following up with numerous emails and calls. Eventually on 12 October she got back to me, saying did I not get her voicemail saying my bond had since been rejected on the basis of the wording in my employment contract. After explaining that teachers are employed by the GDE on a permanent 12 month contract renewed every year she told me to submit a letter from my employer stating this. I did so, but instead of just submitting that letter to credit, she reapp**** for my entire bond, firstly for the INCORRECT AMOUNT and secondly it came back approved at a MUCH higher interest rate (11.07%). This is unacceptable and needs resolving!
