MARKETING STATEMENTS WITHOUT FOLLOW THROUGH = LACK OF CREDIBILITY

On one of First National Bank’s web pages, they incite me to change to their bank, FNB states: "Every bank offers you an account with the opportunity to save, invest and get access to credit. But we know you expect more."

Well, the first thing that I expect is NOT TO BE IGNORED.

Here are the details which prompted me to post this. On 6 January 2022, I completed the details [as requested] and sent the following message via FNB’s contact us portal: “I want to open a business account for my new non-profit company. We are located in Venterstad and the nearest FNB branch is in Burgersdorp. I do not see any option to open an on-line account for a NPC. Can I open the account at the Burgersdorp branch? If so, could someone please contact me. I am currently an ABSA Private Bank client.”

On that same day at 19h17, I received an email [no doubt an automated response] from “care” at FNB. It stated: “Dear Valued Customer FNB Query reference 4******NFQ has been sent to Customer Resolution Centre. A Consultant will contact you within 24-48 Business hours.”

Today is the 17th of January 2022, it is now 09h00.

I am still waiting for FNB’s “consultant” to contact me. Not certain how many “Business hours” have passed but I am certain that it is more than 48. It begs the question: Why do First National Bank spend all that money on advertising?

They certainly don’t seem to be interested in new clients!

Reviewer Update
Hey, no surprise.
FNB rep**** to this review and sent me yet another (no doubt automated) email.
Just like the previous email, this one also states:
"Dear Valued Customer
FNB High Priority Complaint reference ***NF has been sent to FNB Business Banking. B***********@*********.
A Consultant will contact you within 24-48 Business hours."
More reference numbers and more business hours allocated!
Deja Vu!
