Management abuse of elderly clients

I’ve been a client of First National Bank since the 80’s for my personal and business needs and to say that the fiduciary care and professionalism of set bank has fallen to an all new low, is putting it mildly.

The branch involving my complaint, is that of The Atrium (Overport), Durban, KZN FNB wherein since the arrival of Branch Manager, Vino Johns, any attempt at competent service has become a literal nightmare.

At the fine age of 81, I can assure with my level and extent of business experience, this alleged ‘Manager’ hasn’t a cotton picking clue to run a bank branch. The following has occurred since her arrival:

(A) The automated ticket system has been covered with a laminated sheet demanding that clients engage a ‘Khosi’ who can’t work out what ticket to print even though the client, myself, knows full well what is required. YET there is a consistent mantra chanted that FNB is digitizing its platform to bring in the ‘future’ of banking??? Then how is this enacted?

(B) The deposit tellers are populated with trainees at the busiest time which is the end of the month wherein critical banking errors are made, WITHOUT firm supervision, on my deposits and those of other clients. Yet FNB wants client to trust it with our money?

(C) When engagement is initiated with set Manger, Vino Johns, she is absolutely verbally abusive to my elderly self as she believes it can be done with impunity.

(D) The engagement of my business partners to investigate these matters of verbal abuse further with Ms Johns (to which we have video evidence off), she has promised an apology but since has never delivered.

(E) Further to this, the alleged ‘Team Leader’ Sylvia Steenkamp can never be found to address ANY matter rather it’s a glorified catwalk for herself to patronize clients and be silent about the liability with which FNB is placed under the Management of Vino Johns.

Whatever the criteria are for Bank Managers at FNB presently, they need to adjusted without delay!

I don’t take lightly to having my hard earned Rands jeopardized by ineptitude and nor do I take lightly to paying bank fees that afford me to be seriously abused, as though I’m a petulant infant, when my complaints are valid and never is any effort made by set Manager to correct them.

I will be forwarding set complaint to the CEO as the Regional Management of KZN must be the source of set inferior deployments such as that at The Atrium FNB branch.

Trust this matter will receive the due attention and correction it deserves!
