MAKING UP THE RULES AS THEY GO

For years, I have been doing inter-account transfers with no hassle. Funds have always been available straight away and I've never had any issues. Recently I transferred my debit order funds into my savings pocket for safe keeping. I then transferred it out (like every other time) on the 2nd of March at 22h00 to ensure that my debit orders went off without a hitch. This didn't happen. My debit orders returned and the funds (conveniently) only transferred at 11h20 the following day, scoring FNB a big fat R276.00 penalty charge in their pockets. I called them this morning where 2 separate agents gave me two different stories. One says I only transferred the money on the third, and the other claims there's a cut off time for the transfer of money after which you have a 50/50 chance of it going through on the same day. How about some consistency so that we can effectively prepare for our month end? The point is no one is going to help me because FNB don't care and will say anything to make it the consumer's fault because one little account isn't going to affect their bottom line. Disgusting!
