Loyal customer with impeccable record gets the middle finger

How can we not help you... that should be their slogan. I have been with FNB for almost 8 Years. I have had a spotless credit record my entire life. They phone me every second day to try and sell my stuff.. loans, credit cards, life insurance etc. I thought, hey, they want to sell my all this stuff, lets try to apply for a home loan. So I apply for a pre-approval and they come to an amount of almost R1200 000. Great. More than enough. Now I actually apply for a bond for the amount of R825 000.. and the result? First of all it takes them almost 2 weeks where I had to complain on Facebook before getting a response. When I finally did get a response, I am suddenly approved for only R487500. This arrogant "manager" tells me that he has been working there for 14 years and according to him, I cannot afford the loan of R825 000 that app**** for (With an almost 50% deposit) What he does not bother to take into account, is that I will be settling 2 cars, my mother will be removed as a medical aid dependent (This will relieve me of R7150 worth of debit orders) and I will obviously adapt my spending habits. I have carefully calculated my budget a thousand times to make sure I can afford the bond that app**** for. FNB could not give a ****e about any of this. They are more interested in what the computer has to say than what the person "they want to help" has to say. Given my track record I cannot see how you can doubt my ability to afford what I buy.

So thank you for nothing FNB. you can shove your electronic awards and e-bucks where the sun don't shine. I am moving all my stuff to another bank (I know you don't care but I will sleep better)

Cheers
