Lost cards - 10 day nightmare

I have to note upfront that I am supposed to be a premier client with FNB and have “a team of premier bankers”. I lost my cards (cheque and credit card) on the 7th of August including my ebucks card. I immediately called FNB to cancel them - I WAS NOT advised that this meant my credit card would be FROZEN in completion ****il new card in my possession and activated) without being able to access or transfer any funds. Since then I was advised that new cards would be arranged and with me within 5 – 8 working days (not sure what they expected me to do in the meantime). So I reverted to “ewalleting” myself money to draw which attracts unpleasant fees. 1st couple attempts I was able to draw money from the ATMs the next few attempts were impossible – the Waterfront ATM wasn’t working – then the Camps Bay one wasn’t working twice – it was becoming impossible to actually come right as well as a huge inconvenience. Last week Thursday, 11 August I called the “premier team” as I could not move money from my credit card (which is where I prefer to keep my available funds) into anywhere and I had no access to other funds. The first lady was really unnecessarily unhelpful – the default response was it wasn’t possible – I asked to talk to the manager but thereafter I was cut off. I called back – again to be met with someone unable to assist me but at least she transfers me to someone who eventually assisted me after my threats to take this to the media (no one was remotely interested in assisting me before such threats). He then notified me there was an issue with the ordering of cards… So yesterday I collected my cheque card from the VNA branch but my credit card was not with it… Now I am still waiting for it – supposedly being delivered to me at 4:30 – 5:00 today…. I am again – since yesterday stuck without access to my funds and now have to wait yet again for the credit card so that it can be activated then unlock the account. I emailed the “team of bankers now to request that they do a transfer for me only to get an automated – please expect a response within 48 hours response – WOW! This whole process has been extremely stressful and unpleasant. I will be moving my banking from FNB – this is not the first time I have had a bad issue with them.
