Lost 5 months worth of eBucks thanks to FNB's bad service

<p>I have never been on FNB and have never earned eBucks before I moved my account. I kept complaining to my friends that I wasn't getting eBucks and got told to wait, that the eBucks would come. I moved from Discovery Miles because I was told eBucks was better. I opened an FNB credit card because I was told eBucks WAS BETTER. I spent half of my credit limit on Christmas gifts, hoping that in January I would get eBucks rewards; it didn't come. I figured perhaps it would come in February, but I still got NOTHING.<br /><br />After getting fed up with your so-called "rewards" system I had to go and check online. Suddenly, it says I do not own a Premier Cheque Card. My credit card has also magically been unlinked even after explicitly asking FNB staff to link my Premier Credit Account.<br /><br />I am LIVID. The worst of it all is that I am a STAFF MEMBER and have reaped almost none of the rewards. I have literally lost out on 5 months worth of rewards where I could have been earning with Discovery instead.<br /><br />I expect a call from FNB tomorrow or you will lose a customer on Saturday.</p>

Good Day Vernon,

I refer to your complaint logged on www.Hellopeter.com against FNB. I will ensure that your comments are escalated to the responsible area to be addressed.

Our staff customers are just as important to us as non-staff customers and as a customer you have every right to raise any complaint or other issue with us. I am disappointed that you chose to express your dissatisfaction in the public domain (www.hellopeter.com) against the very institution with whom you are employed. I would like to draw your attention to the “Code of Ethics” for the FirstRand Group, in particular point 2 “Application and General Obligation”. The code states:

In practising this Code, all employees are expected to:-

• Respect their terms and conditions of employment.

• Defend and maintain the reputation of the Group.

• Practice sound labour relations.

• Develop their personal capabilities

FNB offers various channels that may be used by our staff customers, and I encourage you to make use of these instead of www.hellopeter.com. This matter should be addressed internally.

Thanks Regards
