Losing money due to FNB

I had a recurring payment with a service provider who had cancelled their services with our complex. I deleted the payment as soon as I found out that we would no longer be continuing to use their services last year, at least 4 days before the payment was due to go off.

I then called FNB on the same day when the payment went off, however I was told they are unable to help me, and that I need to speak to the service provider.

Why should I have to speak to a service provider who is not willing to assist me when I pay my bank hundreds of rands every month to service my needs? This is pathetic service.

I want my money refunded, and I am not prepared to complete your pointless form which involves me paying in R281 to retrieve R171 from the service provider.
