Looking for stress & frustration? Bank with FNB.

Yet another poor review for FNB, seems this bank cannot get anything right.

A few months ago I had attempted ***** of over 100K. I don’t even have that amount of money but anyway, the card was blocked and we moved on. If we recall FNB didn’t even bother to call me about this ***** and I had to run around chasing them for answers and any form of guidance, I got none.

Due to constant pathetic service I have managed cancelled an account with great frustrations and more complaints logged. After this emptied another as its mission impossible to get anything done easily with this bank. Once again confirmed when I needed to downgrade another. Just useless wherever I end up being transferred.

A few days ago, another ***** attempt…. Once again no calls from this useless bank. Just some sms which says someone will contact you, but no one does. I take matters into my own hands and send any money I have left else where and temporarily block my cards in the app. Waiting for my so called call back, which never comes. I phone the bank. Queue the frustration.

The ridiculousness of the situation! No mam,,this is ***** being attempted on your previously cancelled card. South Africa, for the life of me, why on earth I must still have a cancelled card linked to my account??? Sending my stress levels into 100% thinking my new card have been hacked. Then when I ask for this to be removed as it serves ZERO use to me, I get sent from agent to agent to agent and still unresolved with their poor attitudes. If that’s not enough, the inadequate ***** agent then decides to block my account with no authorisation from me and why if this is ***** on a cancelled card from months ago? Yes - another fight running around trying to figure out why my cards wont work when I unblock them on the app.

Right now, I just don’t care. To get rid of this bank from your life will cause you more stress as everything is just a mission to achieve - I.E. cancelling everything so you can be free of their bull ... I assume then I will still be getting notifications for stuff that does not exist anymore. Save yourself the trauma and go elsewhere.
