Longest bank card upgrader EVER.
I went into the branch to create a savings account and found out I was due for a card upgrade. Standard right? Wrong. I upgraded at the branch and asked that they send the new card to the Sandton branch. Five working days after I visited the branch my LifeStart account was cancelled (on a Friday) and I had not received any information from the Sandton branch about the collection. The Tuesday after the cancellation, I thought to use my lunch break to go and collect the card at the Sandton branch. I waited in line only to find out that there was no card for me, no card was ordered and ordering it at the bank would cost me R120, I was advised to order it online, lunch break over and a little late in fact I went back to work. The card needed proof of residence for collection, a lot more frustrating things happened around that but today, after three weeks of borrowing money from family and friends while my money sat in the bank, three weeks after I had the upgrade, my money was transferred back to the LifeStart account, it was reactivated and a new card was ordered for me. So I am over R23 rand poorer, incredibly upset but actually back to where I started three weeks ago. Thanks FNB.
