Long awaited resolution, no end in sight

As per previous complaints on Hellopeter, there are already 3 complaints on this issues that has not been resolved. I

am a Private Client with FNB, been banking with them since 2008.

20, 24 Feb 2017, and 27 March 2017.

The first 2 is about taking out the contract and returning it.

Then it got very interesting, the 3rd is about how they kept my R500 locked in my savings pocket, and end of March they

took the subscription for the device.

The call center didn't want to block and reverse the debit order. They said it was a collection and therefor they can't

block or reverse this.

I contacted Smart Devices since they didn't want to call me, so the manager there said it was a debit order. This

doesn't even show under the debit orders on the web site. Bonus, they can't confirm when the phone was received.

No one knows what is going on, all I know is the transaction is fixed and nothing can be done about it.

After several cummunications via email and the chat portal (FNB app) many of the agents just stopped responding to me.

This includes ********** ********** took about 3 days on email to confirm that they received

the email.

Everyone is just saing it's another deptartment and they have esculated it.

Smart devices to date has not called me since my money was taken. Altho several people at FNB said they have emailed

several times to Smart Devices to sort this out.

I called FNB smart devices since they don't want to call me, they said all of this will be sorted out within 3 days,

this was thursday last week. They said they would give me a call as soon as all of this is sorted out.

Someone said to me the R59 was reverse, but I can't access the R500 in my savings pocket.

I can now see on online banking that the R59 is credited. "SERVICE CHARGE ADJUSTMENT - CREDIT".

Very strange name for a debit order reversal. Not sure how I am suppose to explain to SARS this was a phone and not

bank fees.

I have tried every way I can, I have contacted the highest esculation department and is out of options, I said to FNB

last week monday that if they don't sort this out, I need to go elsewhere for help. Ofcouse as usuall they don't

contact me by the deadline.

I contacted the Ombudsman, and they referred me to the National Consumer Commission. Now I am in contact with them. And

not sure what is going to happen.

This follows another deadline of 15:30 today. So this is the 4th complaint on hellopeter to show the progress and the

measures that has been taken so far. And it is still not resolved.

Beware of the FNB smart devices.

I tried to use that address you provided. It is an empty email, it doesn't respond or doesn't work.
