Loan Application
Hi
I have a client with FNB for a long time now.
At a certain stage we had to go under debt review in 2014 as our debt was too much. In 2015 (26/11/2015) we went out of debt review (settled all the accounts) with a rescinded letter (court order) and all the information was sent through to the banks to update my “debt review” status.
Later on we have app**** for loans and FNB has declined each and every time. Other banks were then able to assist where FNB couldn’t.
I have now app**** for a home loan and it was declined due the “debt review” status that was never updated – the status only showed an “X” and not a “YES” or “NO”. I phoned FNB and they have told me that they did receive the documents in 2015 but the status has never been updated.
The status was updated and we went on to re-apply for the home loan. The only information that FNB required was proof (form 17.4 ) to indicate that I am no longer under debt review and my risk status still showed as a number 4 level. This information was sent through back in 2015, not sure why this information had to be sent again? Just to speed up the process we have sent through the rescinded letter.
I have confirmed with FNB that my status has been cleared and that I am no longer a risk 4 level and that the level now shows 0.
The home loan application was sent through again and now FNB is only willing to consider 75% of the home loan amount due to credit rating.
This is not acceptable as it feels that due to FNB not clearing/updating my debt review status it has affected my credit rating with the bank.
When will FNB help me as a client? It feels to me at this stage that I need to switch banks to get better deals.
My Home Loan Application reference is 762/HAF/07/2018
