Loan account in Arrears
I just receive a message that my account loan is in arrears, this is not possible because I took out the loan in the beginning of April, there was no deduction end of April - I have a debit order on the 25th. Now suddenly I received a message like this. When I open the message and select pay now; it gives me a message "You do not have account in arrears". Is this then a system error or what? Please clarify this matter.

My debit order usually goes off on the 25th of each month, but this time it didn’t. I assumed that FNB might not deduct the amount, since it’s common for a new loan to have the first debit order skipped. However, they unexpectedly changed the debit order date from the 25th to the 5th of each month.
The consultant who contacted me about this issue insisted that I should have budgeted for the outstanding amount and needed to make the payment. I explained to her that the debit order was originally set for the 25th, but it didn’t go off as expected. I also clarified what had happened. She assured me that she would update the debit order date, yet here we are—the 27th has arrived, and the payment still hasn’t gone through on the 25th as it was supposed to.
