Listed with the Credit Bureau for an account which was settled and never being in arrears
I am writing to urgently address an issue regarding an outstanding debt on my credit record that is hindering my loan application with Capitec.
Approximately a month ago, I discovered that my temporary loan with FNB (***) was inaccurately flagged as being in arrears for three months with the credit bureau, despite having settled it in full. In response to this matter, I promptly contacted FNB, and your team provided me with a settlement letter to clear the arrears from my credit record. I successfully submitted the settlement letter to the credit bureau, and the arrears were cleared accordingly.
However, to my dismay, I recently app**** for a loan with Capitec, and I was informed that there is still an outstanding debt on my credit history related to the aforementioned temporary loan with FNB (***). I can assure you that this debt was settled in full back in April, and I possess all the necessary documentation to verify the clearance.
I kindly request your immediate assistance in resolving this matter, as it is causing undue stress and negatively impacting my ability to access credit when needed. I am now considering whether to continue my banking relationship with FNB, given the continued issues with the clearance of this debt and the subsequent effect on my credit score. It is deeply concerning that despite my consistent payment history with FNB, this matter has not been resolved yet.
I would appreciate your immediate attention to this issue, as it has been ongoing for the past two months with promises made but no resolution to date. I have always valued my relationship with FNB and have never missed a single payment during my association with the bank. However, the lack of resolution and the impact on my credit score are deeply disappointing.
