Life Assurance from First Rand Bank Refund
Where do one start. Ok me and hubby(not married when house was bought) had a joint bond with FNB. Long story short he passed away in December 2021. I phoned FNB several times and was told u need Executor letter to report and apply for claim. We all know Tshwane were busy cutting electricity from several Companies and Masters was one of them. Eventually got to send in forms in April but only received the Excecutors letter in May and send it trough immediately. Bond was still being deducted from my Account even after i was told don`t worry it wont happed. I also got a refund but the guy from Deceased estates was really rude and not feeling my loss. I was told Home Loan is settled and would only get an X amount of the payments made and nothing else as told by the guy from deceased estates. I received the amount that was said to be it and 2 days later another amount that nice but what about the whole AMOUNT from December 2021 - June 2022. According to our Embedded Policy on the Home loan agreement signed Dec 2016, it stated if Home loan was sold to you between 1 May 2013 and before or on 8 August 2017' In case of permanent disability or death, the Insurer, First Rand Life Assurance Limited , will settle your outstanding loan amount as at date of your permanent disability or death. And I have to report it before 12 months if death occurred, I was told I didn`t report it soon enough and that`s why only the first refund would be all. I called consultants but are they useless, always escalating and not receiving any corespondance back from any of them( I will also mentioned had to go to 2 different branch managers ( who assisted) for assistance and was told yesterday I will be contacted and apparently this morning as well and guess nothing till now. I just want my bond payments made from Dec 2021 till June 2022 the rest of the balance.
I am still awaiting a response from FNB.
