License Disc Delivery

On the 3 August 2021 I renewed my license disc via FNB NAv-car where they help you to renew your license disc and deliver it on your “door step” as per their adverti*****t. The service is R199 and includes assistance in renewal of your license and door step delivery of the license disc. The process went well up until the delivery, Tuesday, 17 August 2021 I received a call from the courier company “ The courier guy” where I was told that I need to go to the police station to fetch my license disc. I asked the delivery guy why must I go to the police station to collect my license disc coz I specifically requested for it to be delivered at my home address. He then rep**** by saying his not allowed to deliver it he will wait for me outside the police station. I refused and told him I didn’t pay for a collection outside a police station I paid for a door step delivery.

I then sent a complaint to FNB: Me: Description: The courier company called and told me to go to the police station to collect my parcel, and that they are not allowed to deliver my card at my house. I refused to go to the police station and told him I'm not willing to go to the police station and that the instructions was for him to deliver it at my door step and not police station. What's the point of paying for a delivery fee if my license is still not gonna be delivered to me personally. I want my license disc delivered ASAP.

Good day Mary Thank you for your email, The courier guy did advise that the aera is a high risk aera to go into and they are not allowed to, he did call to client to advise that he will be waiting at the police station till they can come and collect. The driver said the client did not want to provide an alternative address in town or to go and collect.

I don’t have an alternative address and you should have advised way before that my area is “high risk” and you won’t be able to deliver at my front door, I always get my deliveries at my front door and even FNB cards I never had this problem. Even worse if you say “the area it high risk” why do you even give an option for door step delivery. I’m paying for the service no one is doing me a favour, so please deliver my license disc to the address I submitted. Regards Ziyanda Nkonki

This was Tuesday, 17 August 2021 there was no response after that. The following day Wednesday, 18 August 2021 I received a notification that my license disc has been delivered to me. Nothing has been delivered to me I don’t even know where my license disc is at the moment. I’m still waiting for the courier company to deliver it at my home address.
