Letting me down in my hour of need
My Dearest, Bestest Bank Ever

I like you very much but you are letting me down in my hour of need. I have been preparing for two major well-paying events in Australia and the Emirates, both happening at the end of this month but have run out of money and it seems you're not prepared to help me because you're not prepared to go beyond what the system says. I have discovered that, in this regard, it doesn't even help to go and visit a branch to state my case. I need to borrow a bit more from you to see me through these events.

Firstly, the system always wants a regular income as though I work a regular job for someone else but it will never get that from me because I am a freelance calligrapher and have been one for over 25 years. Secondly, it says my income was too low in January (I was on holiday). Thirdly, the system does not seem to consider the 186K I pulled in in November and December. Fourthly, there seems to be no inclination to consider what these two events are paying me.

I completely accept that it is your prerogative to lend or not lend me money, but is that really the way things are now: that if it doesn't fit the system it's a no?
