Letter of Demand

FNB has been my sweet home for the past 5years receiving a great service without any complaints, until this month Sept 2022. I have a home loan with them and have been paying my installments religiously so, and have opted for a Stop order to avoid missing any payment, until the mortgage rate increased few months ago when I received a letter to inform me. I then informed my HR to amend my repayments amounts but it took my HR until now to do so, now my account is in R600 Arears, which I take 100% responsibility of and have called the bank to make arrangement to bring my account to date until my HR is done with the new Amendment. Then boom, before I know it I receive a Letter of Demand, saying failure to pay my installments will lead to the bank taking acting against me!!!!! Wooooow I was in shock because I had been sooo loyal to my agreement with them, even made it go through a Stop Order to show my commitment!! It's not like I don't want to pay R600, I mean I'm paying close to R5000 a month!!!!, but a Letter of demand??? Really? this simply shows that if one could be out of employment, they won't think twice to throw you to the Streets, irrespective of your circumstances. Wooow I'm disappointed, where is loyalty guys? Think I was blinded by " How can we help you". I honestly feel let down by the bank, not sure if I would have any interest doing business with them. I will however pay their R600 as arranged.
