LATE ESTATE ACCOUNT THAT IS INACCESIBLE

I'm having a horrible experience with FNB.

I am appointed as an executor of a late estate account. All ORIGINAL documents were submitted to the bank at the time when the account was opened. the documents were loaded on the system and the system verified them as i was informed.

The Consultant at Main Street Branch that assisted me failed to inform me that there would be a hold that is put on the account and no payments can be made out of the late estate account. We are currently sitting with a dilemma at the moment as there are funds that are held up in the account and there is no clear indication as to when the funds will be accessed as the other beneficiaries are starting to question why the funds cannot be accessed.

numerous calls were made to the fudiciary department however, There is no clear timeline that is given. i have spoken to a number of agents and all are giving contradicting feedback.

this whole situation is frustrating to say the least and there is an urgent need to access the funds.

FNB is not being fair towards us as clients by holding onto these funds whislt there is a dire need to use these funds.

had i known that the funds would be held at ransom i wouldn't have banked with fnb as this poor service is unacceptable to say the least and fnb is not transparent with its clients.

this is appaling and no one is giving clear timelines of proper feedback on the reasons why this is happening. the only term that is being thrown around is " Process"

in an attempt to speak to the team leader to get further assistance, i was made to hold, then ultimately told to call back later as the team leader is not answering her phone and there's no indication on why she is not available.

Can this be looked into as a matter of urgency!!!

i would not recommend that other clients open accounts with fnb as they will be subjected to such bad treatment.

clients are being prejudiced whilst fnb is not looking out for the best interests of its clients.

the hold on this account must be lifted as there is an urgent need to access and use the funds.
