Lack of support

I've booked my ID card application online for 19/09/2016 13h00 @ FNB Menlyn, as per the printed confirmation.

When i got to Menlyn just before 13h00 they advised me that everything moved to Lynnwood, i won't make my time for 13h00 so i need to move appointment to next available appointment. So, i change my booking online to 3rd of October 2016 as that is the closest date that i can get. My husband on the other hand, had the same booking as i had 19/09/2016 14h00 FNB Menlyn, when he got to Menlyn they just said that he needs to go to Lynnwood, We both went to Lynnwood. The two ladies assisting us said unfortunately they cannot help me, they don't know how to change the date and they are sorry no communication was sent about, but she will call her supervisor. Her supervisor makes me sit there for an hour, after i've asked the lady assisting (4 times) when will the supervisor assist, she just said they have no phones to phone anyone, they cannot help me, only because i was forced to change my date, but they assisted my husband.

They refused to contact their direct line manager as they don't have phones, i asked her as they are sitting in FNB to ask the Branch manager to contact her manager, she refused. I offered my phoned, she still refused.

I went to the branch manger of FNB Lynnwood after 2 hours of waiting for the so called supervisor, he just said that they just moved the previous they and there is nothing he can do. They are part of home affairs and not FNB, but they are sitting in FNB. The marketing campaign that goes out to all customer says that you can get it at your bank, dept of home affairs are sitting in the bank, how can you split the two if you advertise it together.

Needless to say no one wanted to take ownership. There was a huge lack of communication.

The manager Andre Fourie opened a blank book to make 3 notes, didn't take my contact number or anything, he was also not willing to actually step 2 meters out of his office to find out what is going on.

From Menlyn Retail park, to Menlyn and then just to get stopped at the door to say you have to cancel your appointment and go to Lynnwood, but the notification clear states MENLYN.

I've already paid for this service on the day of booking the date of application - i asked how i will get back my money if i cancel and let it be done at Home Affairs, the answer was they don't know.
