Lack of feedback from the credit card department

I am very dissatisfied at how FNB handled my credit card application. I app**** for a CC exactly 2 weeks ago. I am a contractor (SA citizen in South Africa) working for an overseas company. I receive annual contracts from my company, but there is no fixed end date, only year to year contracts (since 2020). My credit score is good. I have been working through a consultant at my local branch who provides me with feedback when he receives it from the CC department at FNB. The consultant is very helpful, and I don't have a complaint about the service he has provided. He has to continually follow up with them, and it takes them 2 days to respond with some other issue. Most recently they wanted a work permit which does not make sense as I'm a SA citizen working based in South Africa and working for an international company. I have submitted employment contracts, bank statements showing my income from my previous bank, but they are still unable to provide us with a concrete response. I moved to FNB from January 2022 as I had only heard good things about them. But, surely it cannot be so tedious to offer a product to a SA citizen who is employed (although on contract) with a good credit record. I'm also very disappointed at the lack of communication from the CC department as the branch consultant has to always follow up with them.
