Lack of Feedback and No sense of urgency

On Friday 2nd February 2018 at 18h32 I did an EFT online to Josef Raskinen Photography. I erroneously used the incorrect account number. I was not aware of this until the intended receiver of the money (JRP) contacted me on Monday 5th February 2018 advising that the money was not reflecting in his account, considering my account is FNB and so is JRP's the money should have reflected immediately. I immediately contacted the FNB Private Banking Customer Care line to request and immediate reversal of this transaction. I was told to go directly to the nearest FNB branch. I immediately went to the Bracken City branch. I completed the Recall Form and also spoke to the Branch Manager - Johan Vermeulen. He requested me to return on Tuesday morning for further feedback. On Tuesday morning I went back to the branch and Johan Vermeulen advised that indeed the money had not gone into Josef Raskinen Photography's bank account - the account holder was someone else. He told me he could not disclose the wrong receiver of the money's account holder name. He further advised that there was no guarantee that I would receive my money back because the bank has no right to reverse this transaction. He told me he would contact the wrongful receiver of the money and speak to him, and IF he/she agreed to return the money, only then could I get my money back. I left the bank. Today is Thursday 8th February 2018, I am yet to receive a call from Johan Vermeulen or the branch or the FNB Recall/Legal department. After not receiving feedback from the above, yesterday on Wednesday 7th February 2018, I then sent an email to the FNB Private Banking Service Suite - I received an automated acknowledgement of receipt of my email which advised I would be contacted within one business day - it is 14h23 and I am yet to receive a call or feedback on my case.

I am extremely frustrated, disappointed and despondent by the lack of support, feedback and sense of urgency to respond and remedy this error. I take responsibility that I made a mistake by conducting an EFT and transferring money into the incorrect bank account, however, it is clear that I never intended to pay it to the current wrongful receiver, because the account name I placed on my EFT is completely different to the account holder who has now benefitted from my money.

The total money transferred is R10 000.00. I feel prejudiced by the bank as the wrongful receiver of the money seemingly is protected and cannot be forced to return my money. My position on the matter is that I have now had to pay Josef Raskinen Photography AGAIN (payment made yesterday - Wednesday 7th February 2018) in the correct bank account - FNB has access to this information, what more proof does the bank need from me to show them I did not intend to pay whoever received the money on Friday 2nd February 2018 at 18h32.

I have banked with FNB since the BOB T days - this should reflect how long I have been a customer of theirs. Where is my protection, where is my support. Yes I made the mistake - however, these things do happen - all I want is my money back from this FNB account holder. Johan Vermeulen went further to say, myself and the wrongful receiver of the money are both FNB customers and we BOTH have to be looked after. Yet this other customer is not the rightful receiver of this money.

I need fair and just help please.
